We have performed at concerts, memorial and thanksgiving services and more recently on November 30th participated in the celebration of Barbados 37th anniversary Independence Church Service, at St Johns Wood Church, London. BONA Mission Statement Mrs. Sherlene Rudder MBE RN, RM, HV compiled BONA’S mission statement and read as follows: “BONA will ensure that every Barbadian Nurse resident in the UK finds a haven for professional and social support. By strengthening our national and international links we will endeavour to include British and Barbadian communities in our welfare and education programmes”. Managerial Structure An Executive committee, elected at an Annual General Meeting, manages BONA. The executive officers are the chairperson, secretary and treasurer, plus nine other elected members. A service of thanksgiving was also held at Tottenham Methodist Church on Sunday November 14th 2002. Its membership now stands at fifteen. General meetings are held monthly. The first health seminar was held in September 1997, and formed the future Violet Legall Memorial Lecture. Ms. Violet Legall was BONA’s first Vice President who sadly passed away in January 1997. Executive Officers 1994 - 1997
